What names would you use for boys if you used unisex names for girls?

Say you had girls with unisex names such as Mason, Reese, Cameron, Hayden, Linden, Presley, Noah etc. Then what would you name boys? Because in my opinion i would want really boyish names so that you could tell who the boys were from the girls. What do you think? What would you name brothers to those names? my first thought was Lachlan. but i dont actually think it matches the unisex names. im starting to think maybe you can only use unisex names for girls if they dont have brothers!!

jorja :)|||Noah is not and never was a unisex name, it's a boy's name. Incidentally why must the girls have unisex names anyway? You seem to want the boys to have reasonable names, why not the girls too?


Of course we all follow fashion to some extent in naming our children (Elizabeth was highly unusual until the Middle Ages although we think of it as ancient), but making up names and/or idiosyncratic spellings really needs to be treated with caution. These are people we are naming , they will not always be babies , so names that are really diminutives already , like Molly and Bobby etc don't travel well over the years. And creations like Briella and Shyleigh and Jaysen and Kenadie and Jaxson, and ( sorry) Jorja, well, these brand your child with , frankly, a loser's name.|||Poor girls.

Which is harder to pick boys names or girls names?

I think good boy names are hard to find.|||Well yeah, good boy names are hard to find but when you find them, its usually pretty easy to pick from the 10 or so names you could possibly imagine giving to your child.


Girls names however, there are tons of cute and pretty names to choose from with all different kinds of spellings that dont make them too tacky.. ( some get tacky..) so its harder to narrow down to that one name you like..


Like for my sons, we had a list of about 10 names we were considering. With our daughter, the list started out with like 60 names... lol talk about narrowing it down..|||I think its girls. Me and my boyfriend sat down and thought of good names for our baby before we knew whether it was a boy or a girl and boys were really easy for us.|||For my wife and me, boys names. We still haven't agreed on a name for a boy. Thank God the baby is a girl. haha|||I would agree with you, boy names.|||For us it was girls, there's not that many girl names I like, but tons that I hate

There is a name in the US that sounds like Caoimhe. It's Kiva, which is an underground holy place used by the Anasazi (No one knows why or where they left, but the pueblo was obviously vacated in a mysterious instant.) There are a number of them, but the one closest to my home had Bubonic Plague warnings. (There are plague cases every year.) Anyway, using Kiva as a name seemed both wrong and unlucky. So, I tend to avoid that sound from habit-LOL|||I can see why you have a dilemma. They both sound nice with the boys name, but i kind of like Seamus and Aoibhin. Aoibhin sounds more elelgnant and mysterious to me which i like. Good luck!|||Those are both good! We have a little boy we named Hudson and I am expecting again and we are just trying to decide on a name if it's another boy. We like the names Lawson and Lawton- what do you think of those names? Also if we do use Lawson is it too similar sounding to Hudson?

I've noticed a pattern with the girl names and the boy names. The girl names end in A, and the boy names have a the long N sound in them at some point. If it were to be Connor, Lilah, Aidan, Isabella and Lucas/Tyler ... either would stand out like the black sheep. Where's IMHO if it were Connor, Lilah, Aidan, Isabella, and Ethan the patterns in the boy names would continue and none of the three names would be considered the odd one out.

I would name twin boys - Emmett Demetrios and Ezra Phoenix|||I like both the formal names and the nicknames. Good choices on the part of their Momma and Daddy.





I am not sure, but I have a subtle, tongue in cheek sense of humor and felt that if I had ever had triplet boys, I would name them Tom, Dick and Harry. Well, actually Thomas, Richard and Henry, but I like the 'everyman' reference with the nicknames. I was not sure what I would use as middle names, but probably would have gone with some of the last names in my extended family as there are many B names. That means that all of them would have a common middle initial.

I'm an Aussie and my husband is a British Indian. We've found some lovely girls names but are struggling for boys names. Any help gratefully received! X|||Seth, Jai, Raj, Taj, Sanjay, Arjun, Ajay (pronounced like A.J.... maybe ok enough?), Amar, Hari, Jayant (Jay), Kailash (Kai), Kalyan (Kal), Kamal, Mani (like Manny, short for Manuel? Not the best...), Nikhil (not bad, he could use Nik),





I'm married to a Nepali, and I'm planning to use the Nepali names as middle names... My tops are Elias Narayan, Jude Sachin, and Damien Aakash. I'd recommend maybe something like that??? There aren't as many Hindi names that sound good in English for men, honestly...|||Avi (short for Avinash), Nik (short for Nikhil), Neel (Indian version of British Neil).


Though unless you live in India, it'd be better to name him in the language of the place he lives. I'm Indian-American and have friends who live here that don't particularily like their strange Indian names since Americans have a hard time pronouncing them or spelling them.

What Do You Think Of These Two Boys Names?

I was just watching a television programme, and there was a shout out to someone's family. In that family the woman had two nephews called Murder and Athem (yep, that's what they said). Anywho, what do you think of those to names? Personally, I feel kind of sorry for the two boys,

The name registry office really should be allowed to have some say/rules over names people chose. Names like murder just shouldn't be allowed! Calling your son Murder is ridiculous! Horrible in fact.

:-)|||Athem is alright....compared to Murder anyway. But who the hell names their kid Murder? Poor boy...|||...why would parents would like to name their 2 boys Murder and Athem... Athem is kinda better than Murder, but is obviously that sanity is not running on the genes of that family!|||I suppose Athem is alright, but no way would I name a child Murder!|||Murder ?? :/|||Who on earth can look at a beautiful baby boy and go "I know. I'll call you Murder."? That is just plain stupid. Athem isn't that bad compared to Murder. I think there should be a test that parents have to do before they imprint a stupid name onto their child for the rest of their life.|||Wow. Those are awful!

Why are people naming their baby boys such feminine/trendy names?

I don't get the whole Cayden, Brayden, Aiden, and all the "den" names. I've even heard of baby boys named Jaedyn. I can't see grown men with these names.|||I don't like those names, too common.





My son's name is Maverick.|||I'm not so much worried about the grown men, more along the lines of the kids and teens that are going to get beaten for it. What do you guys think of these two boys names?

Jude Beckett


Jude means “praise” and Beckett means “dweller by the brook”





Max Griffin


Max means “greatest” and Griffin means “strong fighter”





Both Beckett and Griffin are family names. Which would you choose?


He will be a twin, and we know pretty much 100% that Baby A is a boy, but couldn't get a proper look at Baby B yet. If it's two boys, we'll use both.|||I would definitely pick Jude Beckett, but Max Griffin is very cute too. Good luck managing twins :]|||Jude Beckett is awesome! It's classy and fun at the same time. It's also much more formal than Max, and that's a good thing. Maxwell is a good suggestion though. But I still prefer Jude!|||I love both.
